Editing Blog: The re-edit

Today my group and I continued to edit our film. We received feedback from the peer review so we took that feedback and input some of it into our film while editing. Originally we didn't add in all of the titles. The first thing we did was add in the rest of the titles. After doing that we then placed them in different scenes. We did this so that they would appear across the screen at different times. Another thing that we did while editing was slowed down certain scenes. For example, we put the title of the movie in the scene where the ocean was scene. I suggested that we slow this scene down for several reasons. One of the main reasons was to give this scene a more dramatic affect, especially since the name of the movie is "Misconstrued". We also added transitions into our film while editing. By transitions I mean that we added things in to make the scene change smoother. Without the transitions the scene changes wouldn't have been as clean. In our peer review nobody told us to add music into our film but that was the main thing that we forgot to add in. I found free music a while ago but we weren't able to add it into the movie in time. So today in class Lauren tried to figure out how to add it in. The song that was chosen was by Farrell Wooten. The name of the song is "THROWBACKS" and it falls into the peaceful category. Even though it falls into this category this music builds up suspense. I think that it's the best song to be played in the background off our movie to add onto the thriller and suspense that we're going for. Even though we plan on reshooting some scenes we still are editing what we currently have.
