Reshoot Blog: What we learned from peer review
Todays blog is a blog that is supposed to be about how we completed a reshooting of our film. Unfortunately my group was unable to reshoot this past weekend. We plan on reshooting another weekend preferable when we're all free. Last week my class did a peer review. After my groups film was viewed by another group we received feedback. The groups gave us extremely helpful feedback. For example, they suggested that we use more lighting during the car scene. After I watched our film again I see what they mean. If there was more lighting it would be easier for the audience to see what's on the screen. They also suggested that we add some voice overs. I do agree with that mainly because I think it would help the film have an easier flow. If the hallway scene or the stair scene have a voiceover from both characters it would build up more suspense. Another group said that we needed to work on projecting our voices. I agree because some parts of our film were hard to hear. The last thing that was suggested by the other group was adding an establishing shot into our film and inputting the rest of the titles. Other than those few critiques we also got some good feedback on the things in our film. We were told that our acting skills were good throughout the entire film, especially during the crying scene. We were also told that our story was easy to follow so the audience wasn't confused. We plan on taking these factors into consideration in order to later reshoot our film and make it ten times better. Hopefully, we will have a new version of the movie sometime this week.
