Filming Blog: Reshooting the film

Today my group and I had to take on the task of reshooting some of the scenes in our film. Due to the corona virus school was canceled. Since school was canceled we were unable to check out a camera like we planned on doing. Instead we had to continue to film on Lauren’s iPhone 11. Today we reshot the bridal shop scene first. We had to reshoot this scene because of the sound issue that occurred the first time. The group that peer edited our film said that during this scene it was hard to understand what was being said because our voices were so low. We also added in dialogue between Autumn and the bridesmaids to let the audience know that her and Summer are sisters. Another scene that we did over today was the scene where Autumn (me) was being chased by Summer (Taliyah). This scene had to be filmed again because in the initial video it looked like I sat in the stairs rather than fall. We also had to add in the scene where Summer was chasing me and she tripped. In this scene dialogue was added. We also filmed some scenes that we were unable to film during the first time we were filming. We recorded the scene where Autumn and Summer were about to kill each other with a knife.  The knife was real but we made sure to handle it with care to prevent anyone from getting seriously injured. The last scene that we filmed during our reshoot was the scene where Autumn was being chased by Summed through the hallway. There was a close up of Autumns face and a hand held shot of her as she was running away from Summer. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and we were unable to reshoot some other scenes. We plan on reshooting the final scenes when we meet up again to record our CCR (creative critical reflection). Our film is slowly coming together piece by piece and I can’t wait to see the final product!
